Enhance Your Conversation Skills in 3 Simple Actions
Very first off, what is conversation? Is it somebody speaking to someone else or sending an email to an associate or good friend? What’s intrapersonal communication? Talking to oneself; is that conversation also or just noise? We are inundated with input from a massive range of sources today and much of what we hear we call communication. Does it matter what state you’re in while retrieving this input? Does it matter if your nurse shoes are comfortable or if they’re also small and producing you concentrate on how your feet hurt.
Isn’t conversation a mailing plus a receiving of input. Have you communicated just by mailing an e-mail? Doesn’t the nurse putting on her Cherokee workwear scrubs need to examine it before it can be called communication? What about calling someone and leaving a voice mail; is that conversation? Or what if a husband hears the voice mail and forgets to tell his wife that her greatest good friend called; is communication?
Does putting on inexpensive nursing scrubs communicate to others that you’re frugal? Would it not depend on who the others are and what their perspective is? The exact same goes for body language in regards to who’s interpreting the message. Some people you may not wish to interpret what you’re mailing. They might totally misread your intention so have you communicated? That is food for thought; there are truly no correct answers. The point we should keep in thoughts is communication is paramount to achievement. You need to become able to communicate with others to survive in the world these days.
